The American Heart Association First Aid / CPR / AED Certification class is a comprehensive blended learning course designed for individuals who may be the first to respond to injuries or medical emergencies in the workplace, at home, or in the community. This course is ideal for workplace teams, supervisors, safety personnel, educators, coaches, warehouse and construction staff, and anyone responsible for the safety and well-being of others.
This blended format combines the convenience of online, self-paced learning with essential hands-on classroom instruction:
Online Portion (Approximately 3 Hours):
Participants complete self-paced online modules covering first aid fundamentals, CPR techniques, AED use, choking response, and emergency decision-making. This portion allows students to learn at their own pace, review key concepts, and build foundational knowledge before attending the in-person session.
Classroom Portion (Approximately 2–3 Hours):
The in-person session focuses on hands-on skill practice and instructor-led evaluation. Participants demonstrate CPR, AED use, and first aid skills using training equipment while receiving real-time coaching, feedback, and scenario-based instruction.
Training includes care for bleeding and wounds, burns, sprains, fractures, shock, and sudden illnesses, along with CPR and AED use for adults, (children, and infants optional). Scene safety, teamwork, and calm decision-making during high-stress situations are emphasized throughout the course.
This is a certification course that follows current American Heart Association guidelines. Upon successful completion of both the online and classroom components, participants receive an official AHA eCard, meeting employer, regulatory, and safety program requirements.
Medical emergencies don’t wait for perfect conditions. The AHA First Aid / CPR / AED blended course equips individuals with the knowledge, hands-on skills, and confidence to respond effectively bridging education with real-world readiness when every second counts.
