Where are we at, let’s see, wow, week 42.  So, we only have 11 more weeks before we can put 2020 behind us!  Remember, this year we have 53 weeks, of all years, right?

Anyway, so as we start to wind down the year and use this 4th quarter to gather our thoughts and get everything checked off our goal list for the year, it seems that several of us are thinking more about leadership roles and maybe taking that next step?  Over the last 5 episodes I’ve heard from a couple of people from Texas, and several ladies and gentlemen out in the Chicago area and a young man up in Pennsylvania, all are wanting more and aggressively working to express their wishes to their management teams! They all have asked about leadership.  Not about particular positions or what all they entail but about how do they know if they can do it.

I’ve answered them all the same way.  You can do it.  I ask if they can commit to doing it though.  As we’ve learned, yes, it is more than just a job.  Being a leader, you’ll have others depending on you, the company depending on you.  And well, you’ll depend on your judgements and decisions as well. Oh, shoot, I haven’t introduced the show yet! I’m Marty here with Warehouse and Operations as a Career

I thought today we’d talk a little bit about what traits I believe are needed to be a strong op’s leader, or what qualities and habits will help a young leader!

Well, I could keep going on and on about leadership.  It’s one of my favorite topics.  We’re putting together a leadership course right now, check out the website in a few weeks and you can download it for free.

Until next week, keep growing, move forward and Lead, all the while keeping ourselves and our teams Safe.
